University Facilities & Services presents our new work management system: FAMIS (Facilities Management Information Services). You can access FAMIS through our home page at www.facilities.rochester.edu. When you do, you'll notice how user-friendly the site is and, more importantly, how you'll be able to gather information about your work order status and billing statements. We hope you'll use FAMIS on a regular basis for all your routine and department-funded work requests. As always, emergency requests (flood, power outage, etc.) should be placed by calling x3-4567 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Here's some information to help you as you begin to use FAMIS:
While the process for submitting routine and department-funded work is similar to our previous system, FAMIS offers additional services to you such as "search for work requests." Its features are the following:
As soon as you send your request for services, you'll be notified immediately with your service request number. Once your request has been assigned, you'll receive a work order number. (You may print it out or do a search for work request at a later time.) That's all you have to do. No more tedious voice mail, no more being put on hold, no more searching for that piece of paper with a work order number on it, no more wondering if the work you requested was ever finished, no more peeling through stacks and stacks of billing statements. We're committed to bringing you the best in customer service and we believe FAMIS will enhance that service.
