Dance Program offers subscription series

T he Dance Program has initiated a subscription series for performances by visiting artists, allowing patrons to attend single events or all the spring events as part of the series.

"Our presentations through the Performing Artist Series are all open to the public," explained Judith Hook, director of the Dance Program. "The subscription series will make it more convenient for people to learn about and attend the events."

The program's Performing Artist Series brings to campus acclaimed artists and educators who meet and interact with students and give lecture-demonstrations, workshops, and performances that are open to the community.

This spring's first visitors to campus are award-winning choreographer/dancer Claire Porter on Saturday, February 19, and the dance performance group Freefall on Saturday, March 18. In April, Turkish singer/composer Latif Bolat and musician/performance artist Robert Een will appear.

For more information or to subscribe to the series, contact the Dance Program, x3-5150.
