Register for Sesquicentennial Weekend

Sesquicentennial Weekend, October 12-15, will include an array of special events to celebrate the University's 150th anniversary--and faculty, staff, and students are invited to join in the celebration.

Faculty and staff can register online for Sesquicentennial Weekend events by logging on to www.rochester.edu/sesqui and clicking on the Register Now! link. Next, click on Register for Weekend Events. On the registration form, be sure to select the Faculty/Staff option, then continue completing the form. Alumni also will use this form to register for their events, including reunions. The registration deadline is Friday, September 15.

Among the featured participants and speakers appearing at various events are George Fisher, chairman of Eastman Kodak Co.; Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin; U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher '72 (Resident), in a panel on "Successful Aging"; Harvard lawyer Arthur Miller '56, who will lead a roundtable debate on "Privacy and the Media"; astronauts Ed Gibson '59 and Jim Pawelczyk '82; Nobel Prize-winner Steven Chu '70; actor Robert Duvall; and entertainer Mark Russell, who will take a look at the lighter side of politics as he headlines the 150th Gala Dinner at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Alumni, faculty, and staff registering for Sesquicentennial Weekend activities will be asked to help support the special costs of the weekend by paying the $25 registration fee, as well as any fees associated with individual events. The registration fee is waived for University students.

For a full description of all the events, log on to www.rochester.edu/sesqui/weekend.
