University Facilities & Services would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have been using our Web site (www.facilities.rochester.edu) to submit service requests, and to encourage all of our colleagues to utilize this time-saving procedure. In addition to being able to submit requests for service, you can check on the status of any facilities requests that you've submitted. Effective June 12, all information pertaining to the status of work orders and charges to a work order are being updated at the end of every month. If you have questions about this process, e-mail Sue Willis at swillis@facilities.rochester.edu. If you have questions regarding billing issues, call Joann Conlon, x3-5744, or e-mail her at jconlon@facilities.rochester.edu . All members of the University community also are invited to join the University facilities notification listserv. This service provides you with up-to-date information regarding shutdowns, projects, and emergency notifications via e-mail. There are two separate listservs: one for the River Campus and outlying properties, and one for the Medical Center. You may subscribe to one or both. To subscribe to the listservs, compose an e-mail message to majordomo@cc.rochester.edu. (Leave the subject line blank.) In the body of the message type Subscribe facility_notices (for the River Campus/outlying properties) or type Subscribe medctrnotices (for the Medical Center) and send the e-mail message. You'll then receive an e-mail message that states "Confirmation" in the subject line. Open that e-mail and follow the directions. Next, you'll receive an e-mail that states "Welcome to facility_notices" (or "Welcome to medctrnotices") in the subject line, which will mean you're successfully subscribed. If you have any questions or need assistance with subscribing, contact Sue Willis, x5-2477, or e-mail her at swillis@facilities.rochester.edu.
