Among the featured participants appearing at various events are George Fisher, chairman of Eastman Kodak Co., and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, both of whom will speak at the Sesquicentennial Convocation; U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher '72 (Resident), who will take part in a panel on "Successful Aging"; Harvard lawyer Arthur Miller '56, who will lead a roundtable debate on "Privacy and the Media"; astronauts Ed Gibson '59 and Jim Pawelczyk '82, who share their stories in "Space: The Unforgettable Journey"; Nobel Prize-winner Steven Chu '70, who explores quantum physics and optics; actor Robert Duvall, who appears at three events; and entertainer Mark Russell, who will take a look at the lighter side of politics as he headlines the 150th Gala Dinner at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Some of the other featured events are "Celebrating 150 Years of Sports" and the dedication of the Robert B. Goergen Athletic Center, with a symposium that includes participants Frank DeFord, Sports Illustrated senior writer and commentator; John Rawlings, The Sporting News senior editor; Donna de Varona, president of the Women's World Cup; and sports announcer Curt Gowdy.

For an evening of laughs there's "Friday Night Live!" starring comedian Wayne Brady (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) & Friends.

The "Sesqui Fest" is the weekend's "Taste of Rochester" event, which includes area food and beverage specialties from Nick Tahou's, Sal's Birdland, Pontillo's Pizzeria, Country Sweet Chicken and Ribs, Zweigle's, and Genesee Brewing Co.

"Hollywood in Rochester" takes a look at the worlds of art, technology, business, and politics with such industry insiders as Academy Award-winning actor Robert Duvall; Oscar nominee Robert Forster '64; Barry Meyer '64, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros.; Robert Rubin '77, senior vice president of MCA Universal Pictures; and Jack Valenti, president and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America.

In addition, College departments will be holding open houses and lectures on a variety of topics.
