Sesquicentennial online auction launched

rustees, alumni, and friends of the University have created an online auction that will establish the Sesquicentennial Scholarship Fund. This auction is open to alumni, faculty, staff, and current students.

Items up for bid include exotic vacations and sports memorabilia and events. Items can be viewed and bids placed at www.rochester.edu/sesqui/auction/. There also will be an auction desk at Sesquicentennial Headquarters where bids can be entered during the weekend celebration. Bidding ends at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 14. The winners will be announced at that evening's gala celebration and notified by mail.

A raffle for a 2001 Harley-Davidson XLH Sportster 883 motorcycle, donated by Trustee Gail Lione '71, also will benefit the scholarship. Three hundred tickets will be sold at the auction desk during Sesquicentennial Weekend at a price of $50 each.
