Directory errata notification

nanticipated difficulties in the retrieval of information from the University's new personnel database produced a number of errors and omissions in the 2000- 2001 Faculty/Staff Telephone Directory.

The possibility of reprinting parts of the directory is now being evaluated, but in the meantime members of the University community are urged to consult the online directory (www.rochester.edu/FindPeople/), which is updated daily, if an individual's listing cannot be found in the printed book. Those without access to the Web may contact University Operator Services at x5-2121.

Faculty or staff members spotting an error in the printed phone directory listings are encouraged to contact their respective Telephone Department Coordinator, or to contact ITS/Telecommunications by e-mail at nethelp@utd.rochester.edu or by calling 4-HELP (x4-4357). g

An interdepartmental team is now working to improve the phone-directory database management processes for more automatic and consistent updates to the database and to ensure the accuracy of next year's printed directory.
