Employees receive URMC awards

uring the annual meeting of the Medical Center Board, chairman Robert Gutkin presented the fourth annual Chairman's Quality Awards of Excellence to six URMC employees whose professional and personal standards exemplify quality patient care.

Recipients include:

Carl H. Andrus, clinical associate professor in the Department of Surgery;

Holly Barone, administrator of the Eastman Dental Center's Community Outreach Program;

Sue Copek, nurse leader in the outpatient dialysis unit;

Mary Horton, credentialing coordinator for Physician Services;

Kathy Miraglia, manager of the interpreter services program;

Judy Sterry, lab operations manager for Pathology and Lab Medicine.
