Baldwin discusses 'Issues' March 28
ctor and political activist Alec Baldwin will present "An Evening with Alec Baldwin on Issues that Matter" at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
The Obie Award-winning actor's public policy interests include campaign finance reform, environmentalism, gun control, and animal rights. He is a board member of People for the American Way, the Creative Coalition, and Standing for Truth About Radiation (STAR). Admission is $3 for University undergraduates with an ID and $5 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus, at Media Play in Southtown Plaza, and also will be available at the door. Baldwin was originally scheduled to appear on campus last November, but his session was postponed due to illness. Tickets purchased for the fall event will be honored. A noted actor, Baldwin won the Obie award for best actor for his performance in the 1991 theater drama Prelude to a Kiss. His movie credits include Beetlejuice, Working Girl, The Hunt for Red October, and Malice.
