Duvall's Sesqui visit featured on WXXI

Duvall

Academy Award-winning actor Robert Duvall is "returning" to Rochester.

Duvall, who was a featured guest at the University's Sesquicentennial celebration last October, will be the focus of a special program, Robert Duvall at the University of Rochester, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 7, on WXXI-TV (Channel 21).

The hour-long program includes footage of Duvall's appearances on campus. While at Rochester, he was interviewed live by Jack Garner, national film critic for Gannett News Service.

Duvall also was a lecturer for Dean of the College William Scott Green's "Theories of Religion" class, which uses Duvall's film The Apostle as a core component of the course. Duvall wrote, directed, and starred in the movie.
