Political Science offers spring series
aculty and political scientists from Rochester and other universities will be featured in the Riker Seminars in Political Science, sponsored by the College's Department of Political Science.
Lectures in the series are scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays in 329 Harkness Hall on the River Campus.
Upcoming lecturers include:
- Randall Calvert, professor of political science at Washington University in St. Louis and research associate at the Rochester Center for Economic Research, April 6. He will be joined by Justin Fox, a doctoral student in Rochester's Department of Political Science, in discussing "Effective Parties in a Model of Repeated Legislative Bargaining." Calvert is a former chair of the political science department.
- Marek Kaminski, assistant professor of political science at New York University, April 13. Kaminski will present "A General Equilibrium Model of Multi-Party Systems."
- Christian List, professor at Oxford University who is currently a visiting professor at the Center for Basic Research in Social Science at Harvard University, April 27.
There will be no speaker on April 20.
