Summer student employment reminder

niversity units interested in hiring graduating seniors for the summer or other students who are not eligible for student payroll are reminded that there are two options:

Time as Reported (TAR): Employers can open a TAR position with an end date. There is a 10.5 percent overhead (increasing to 12.3 percent July 1) charge. For more information, contact the Office of Human Resources.

Temporary Services Program (TSP): Departments can hire a student for up to six months through TSP. There is 26 percent overhead (increasing to 29 percent as of July 1) charge.

TSP hires must also meet other requirements and complete orientation. For more information, contact the Temporary Services Program, x5-7873.
