Graduate students honored

Five University graduate students who have distinguished themselves for their teaching will be honored Thursday, May 3.

Recipients of the 18th annual Edward Peck Curtis Awards for Excellence in Teaching by a Graduate Student are Tatyana Bakhmetyeva of the Department of History; Kevin Green of the Department of English; Craig Sellers of the School of Nursing; Amy Wlodarski of the Department of Musicology at the Eastman School of Music; and Kevin Wright of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

President Jackson, Provost Charles Phelps, and University Dean of Graduate Studies Bruce Jacobs will present the awards during a luncheon in the students' honor.

Each recipient receives a check for $500. In addition, each student's department receives $250 for improvements in undergraduate course materials or lab equipment.
