Associate Registrar Kruger dies

Lawrence Kruger, associate registrar of the College and staff member for 13 years, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 27. He was 42.

"The College has lost a fine colleague and a good friend," said Dean of the College Faculty Thomas J. LeBlanc and Dean of the College William Scott Green. "We all share a deep sense of loss and sympathy with Larry's family, friends, and colleagues. Larry had a long and productive tenure in the College, and he gave his best to all of us and to our students. We will miss him."

Kruger earned his bachelor's degree in acting from New York University. He joined the Rochester staff in 1988.

A memorial service was held August 1 in the Interfaith Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Jane and Elijah; and seven brothers and sisters. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to a scholarship fund (c/o Barbara Kruger, 20 Shirewood Drive, Rochester, N.Y. 14625).
