SOUNDS OF SOLIDARITY--An audience of nearly 1,500 attended a performance of Mozart's Requiem by the Eastman Philharmonia, the premier student orchestra of the Eastman School of Music, and a community chorus of more than 150 singers on September 23 in Eastman Theatre. The concertgoers' contributions totaled $9,225 for the American Red Cross New York City Disaster Relief Fund. Students on the River Campus also forwarded a donation to the Red Cross after a weeklong fund-raising campaign that culminated in two benefit concerts and generated more than $20,000 for disaster relief.
