She joined the faculty of the Warner School in 1985. In a related event, Glenda Lappan, a national policy maker in the field of mathematics education, will deliver the 2001 Scandling Lecture at the Warner School and will receive the University's George Eastman Medal for Excellence at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, in room 2-162 of Dewey Hall.
