Ben Hellie explores syntax and semantics

Ben Hellie, assistant professor of philosophy at Cornell University, will present a lecture titled "The Grammar of Experience Reports" at the University. Part of the Department of Philosophy's Colloquium Series, the talk is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7, in 2110-D Dewey Hall on the River Campus, with a reception to follow in 501 Lattimore Hall. This event is free and open to the public.

Hellie, who received his doctorate from Princeton University, was a visiting student at the Technische Universität in Berlin after receiving his bachelor's degree from Stanford University. His specialized areas of study are the philosophy of the mind and the philosophy of language.
