Reno discusses Clinton years, future plans
Sworn in as the 78th U.S. attorney general in 1993, Reno served for nearly eight years, garnering praise for investigations of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and the Unabomber case, while also engendering controversy for the storming of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, and the return of Elian Gonzalez to his father in Cuba. Born in Miami, Reno has returned to her home state where she resides in Kendall, Fla., occupying a cypress wood and block house built by her mother 50 years ago. Now seeking the Florida Democratic gubernatorial nomination, Reno has become a familiar figure, campaigning around the state in her red pickup truck. Admission is free for University faculty, staff, and students, but tickets must be obtained in advance at the Common Market. Admission at the door for the general public will be $10.
