SStandup comic Bobcat Goldthwait, known for his trademark multi-octave voice, will perform at 9 p.m. on Friday, February 1, in Strong Auditorium, kicking off this year's Winter Carnival.

Beyond standup routines, Goldthwait's career includes roles in film and television, including the Police Academy series, Scrooged, Burglar, and Blow. He was the voice of "Pain" in the animated Disney feature Hercules and has lent his voice to television series such as The Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, and Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist.

The Winter Carnival is a University tradition highlighted by a weekend of student-oriented activities including games, films, a snow sculpture competition, speakers, storytellers, and concerts.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the Common Market in Wilson Commons and at the Record Archive, 1394 Mt. Hope Ave. Admission is free for University undergraduates, but students must obtain tickets in advance.
