CROSSROADS--Daniel Beaumont, associate professor of Arabic language and literature, plays guitar to the backdrop of Muddy Waters during the January 24 Neilly Series lecture on blues and rock 'n' roll. Other musical performers included feature speaker and Eastman faculty member David Headlam, Electrical Engineering Professor Mark Bocko, Eastman School Associate Professor Matthew Brown, and Bob Snyder, Eastman jazz guitar instructor. Leading on blues vocals was University Vice President and General Secretary and Adjunct Professor of Music Paul Burgett. On February 26 the Neilly Series will feature Sylvia Nasar, author of the John Nash biography portrayed in the movie A Beautiful Mind.
