Warner sponsors open house

Spring camp kicks off April 15

The Family Care Program is sponsoring Vacation Club for children ages 5-12 years.

The program, operated by Camp Fire Boys and Girls, is open to University/Strong Health employees and will be held April 15-19 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the River Campus. There is a $100 weekly program fee and $25 weekly registration fee. Call Family Care at x3-4644 for more information or to register.

Gift cards are in the mail

Staff members who have worked for the University for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 years by June 30 have been sent a gift selection card and brochure. All cards must be returned with selection request by April 3. Any eligible staff member who has not received a card should contact Doris Robinson in Human Resources at x3-4644.

Surplus property for sale

The Medical Center is holding its first surplus property sale April 1-5 in the former orthopaedics clinic (G-5280). The sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and will include used items from the Medical Center.

The sale on April 1-2 is reserved for Medical Center departmental purchases only. Beginning April 3, the sale is open to University departments and individuals. All sales to individuals and external organizations will be subject to 8 percent sales tax.

Deliveries to University off-site locations can be arranged through the Facilities department for a delivery fee. Individuals and external organizations are responsible for delivery arrangements. All sales are final. For more information, call x5-8875.

Orientation moves to MAG

New hire orientation will move from its present location at 300 East River Road to the Memorial Art Gallery's Cutler Union on May 6. According to Human Resources, the new location offers a central location, access to public transportation, and a wide range of accommodations for both large and small groups.

Books old and new wanted

Books, large and small, fact and fiction, old and new, are needed for the Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries' 30th Rochester Annual Book Fair on September 21.

In addition to books, the Friends also are collecting postcards, broadsides, posters, trading cards, tickets, bookmarks, and photographs as items for the fair's silent auction.

Donations are tax-deductible. Call Margaret or Francine at x5-4461 for more information.
