Dance Program series sparks creativity
Psychotherapist, community activist, and educator Eimear O'Neill from Toronto will share personal stories, and those of clients, focusing on the creation of self in her presentation "Creating Selves" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the dance studio of Spurrier Hall. O'Neill's program will include a slide presentation of her community art installation. On Thursday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m., Thom Ward, poet and editor/development director of BOA Editions, Ltd., an independent publishing house of American poetry, will present "There Is Another World and It Is in This One." During his talk he will focus on how language in poetry coupled with imagination can be extremely moving and will describe strategies poets use when writing. The audience members can participate in a group poetry round and other activities. Both events are free and open to the public. For more information, call the Dance Program at x3-5150.
