In BriefNominate a studentThe Dean of Students Office invites faculty, staff, and students to nominate students who have distinguished themselves through their achievements, service, and contributions to the common good as candidates for a University Women's Leadership Award. Health Bites expandsStrong Employee Assistance Program's Health Bites informal health and wellness series is expanding this year to offer both noontime and afternoon sessions. The series kicks off on October 7 with "Money and Kids," a session that provides ideas on how to teach children the basics of money management, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Room 2-6408 (K 207), noon to 1 p.m. A second session, "Wills, Trusts, and Estates," will cover the differences between a will and a trust and illustrate the situations in which implementing one would make more sense than the other. UCC offers therapy groupThe University Counseling Center is starting a therapy group for members of the University community. "Survivors of Sexual Assault or Sexual Abuse" provides a confidential place to share concerns. There is a nominal fee for members not covered by the student health plan. Interested individuals can call Mary at x5-2361.
Research Participants Needed:Hot Flashes--Participants 35-60 years old who have hot flashes are needed for a study at the University to evaluate a new medication for relief of hot flashes. Up to $100 payment. Call x3-3212 for more information.
