Plosser announces decision to step downCharles Plosser, who served 12 years as acting dean and then dean of the Simon School, has announced his intention to step down at the end of the current academic year, upon completion of his second full term. "He leaves the deanship with a stellar record of accomplishment," says President Jackson. "Under his leadership--spanning more than a decade in the life of the Simon School and the University--the School has thrived." A search committee is being assembled to assist in the selection process for a new dean. For Plosser's message on his decision to step down, as well as President Jackson's memo, see www.simon.rochester.edu/news_releases/20021001_news.htm.
