HEALTH HISTORY--A new online exhibition offers a look back at the last 75 years of nursing. The Many Faces of Nursing--Photographic Images from the Edward G. Miner Library 1890-1960 shows nurses at work under wartime conditions, nurses in the wards of 19th-century New York hospitals, student nurses in training situations, and images of young women in casual moments before the camera. For Miner Library, this exhibit is a pilot project, part of a larger vision to create a searchable image database that offers access to the entire photographic collection.
