WebCT demo set for Nov. 19

n response to growing demand, the Education Technology Center is offering a demonstration of the new course management software WebCT on Tuesday, November 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in Rush Rhees Library G-113, sponsored by Information Technology Services.

Currently more than 50 College faculty members are using WebCT to enhance instruction in 70 different courses. A course management system, WebCT offers faculty and instructors a wide range of technology tools including online access to student grades, discussion forums, electronic homework assignments, collaborative learning environments, Web presentation space for students, online quizzes, and virtual office hours.

In December and January, the Education Technology Center will offer hands-on workshops for developing spring courses using WebCT. To learn more, visit http://webct.ats.rochester.edu.
