FYI
Blanot Farm by Professor David Walsh. JoAnne Pedro-Carroll, associate professor of psychology and psychiatry, is one of five recipients of this year's Nathaniel Award. Selected by representatives of the Rochester legal community, the award acknowledges Pedro-Carroll's work in helping children deal with the strains of separation and divorce. Richard Kaeuper, professor of history, has been awarded the Verbruggen Prize for his book Chivalry and Violence in Medieval Europe. He is the first recipient of the prize, presented by De Re Militari, an international society of medieval military historians, for the best book on medieval military history. From the pines of Tuscany to the farmhouses of southern France, recent paintings and drawings by David Walsh, professor of art, are now on display at the Oxford Gallery in Rochester. Walsh, an expert in medieval ecclesiastical church architecture and interiors, paints landscapes and facades set in lush areas of France, Italy, and England. The exhibit continues through Saturday, February 22. For more details, visit www.oxfordgallery.com.
