Linda Greenhouse, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, will discuss the repercussions and importance of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions on Wednesday, April 9, at the University. Her talk, titled "The Supreme Court Today," will be presented at 5 p.m. in Hoyt Hall.

Since 1978, Greenhouse has been the Supreme Court correspondent for The New York Times and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for beat reporting in 1998 for her coverage of the court. She also is a frequent guest on the PBS program Washington Week in Review.

Greenhouse earned her bachelor of arts degree in government from Radcliffe College. Later, she received a master of studies in law degree from Yale Law School and holds honorary degrees from Brown, Colgate, and North-eastern universities, and from the City University of New York.

Her lecture is sponsored by the Andrew H. and Janet Dayton Neilly Endowed Fund of the River Campus Libraries. The yearlong Neilly Series, which is free and open to the public, is supported by a major gift from Andrew Neilly '47 and his wife. For more information, call x5-4461.
