Information on copyright compliance

n preparing course materials for the upcoming semester, instructors should be mindful to comply with federal copyright law. When using works subject to copyright protection, including course materials placed on electronic reserve, instructors should have permission of the copyright owner or use an analysis worksheet to document "fair use" or other exceptions. The worksheet is available online at www.lib.rochester.edu/copyright/wksheet.htm.
