Meet at the admission desk. July 10, 17, 24, 6:30 p.m. Through August 15--Print Club of Rochester. This juried show features more than 40 recent works by club members, including woodcuts, linocuts, intaglio prints, lithographs, and prints created using nontoxic methods. Through 2003--New Acquisitions for a New Millennium. Showcases 21 masterworks acquired during the last four years, including the Inner Coffin of Pa-debehu-Aset, an Egyptian official of the fourth century B.C.E. At Rush Rhees Library Through September 30--Writings of Consequence: The Art of John A. Williams. This exhibition displays prime documents from John Williams, author of The Man Who Cried I Am, including correspondence, manuscript notes and drafts, memorabilia, and photographs. Rare Books and Special Collections Library. Free and open to the public. HEALTH AND WELLNESS CPR Classes--Classes are offered by the Office for Educational Resources (OER). Registration fee required. July 7--Pregnancy 101. The class overviews body changes and self care during pregnancy as well as nutrition, fetal development, preparing for birth, getting the home ready for a new baby, and a tour of the Family Maternity Center. Fee $20. Registration required. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. July 9, 19--Breastfeeding. Expectant parents learn the basics of breastfeeding in this class taught by certified lactation consultants. Fathers welcome. Class covers getting off to a good start during the hospital stay, managing common concerns of the first few weeks, planning for a return to work or school, choosing a pump and other supplies, and support group information. Fee: $35/couple. Registration required. July 9: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; July 19: 1 to 4 p.m. July 12--Infant and Child CPR. Training for parents, grandparents, and childcare providers taught by American Red Cross-certified instructors. Fee: $40/person. Registration required. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 12, 19, 26--Infant Care and Safety. Expectant parents learn the basics of preparing the home and family for a new baby. Classes cover newborn care, feeding, keeping baby healthy, and dealing with illness and injury. Fee: $50/couple. Registration required. 1 to 3 p.m. July 26--Childbirth Refresher. This three-hour "express" class is for expectant parents who have attended childbirth classes within the past five years. The course reviews the labor and birth process, hospital stay, special situations such as Cesarean birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, and how to prepare brothers and sisters for the new arrival. Fee: $35/couple. Registration required. 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 26--VBAC Class. Deals with the specific needs and concerns of expectant parents with previous Cesarean-birth experience who are preparing for a vaginal birth. Fee: $15/couple.
