Think calm

The Medical Center Athletic Club is providing free 15-minute demonstrations of the relaxation technique polarity therapy on Wednesday, July 16. Appointments are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in G-5680 in Strong Memorial Hospital

Those interested in learning more about polarity therapy also are invited to attend a 30-minute introduction at 11:30 a.m. For reservations, call x5-2437.

CEIS hosts computing expert

Sponsored by the Center for Electronic Imaging Systems (CEIS), Irad Yavneh of the Computer Science Department at Technion of the Israel Institute of Technology is scheduled to visit Rochester this summer. He will be available at CEIS from July 21 to August 15.

Yavneh will consult and collaborate with Stanley Skupsky, a senior scientist in the Laboratory for Laser Energetics, and offer a presentation on multigrid computational methods for CEIS at the Center for Optoelectronics and Imaging on July 24. Anyone interested in meeting or working with Yavneh can call Carl Schauffele at x5-0547.
