Runners
OFF AND RUNNING--Thanks to a first-place finish by the University's coed team in the local JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, four runners from the University have been invited to compete in the championship race in New York City on October 4. The international event will host more than 1,000 runners from London, Sydney, Frankfurt, and the United States.

Representing the University will be Germaine Reinhardt (left), associate director of communications for Medical Center Public Relations; Kelly Wasson (center), a laboratory technician for Environmental Health and Safety; Amy Cole, a physical therapist at Strong Memorial Hospital; and R. Duncan Douglas (not pictured), a resident in anesthesiology.

"Not only did the University field a winning team this year, but we also took the award for largest participating company in the Rochester race--something we should be very proud of," says team captain Heather Van Orden, a secretary for the Fitness and Wellness Center at the Medical Center.

Those wishing to support the team by purchasing raffles tickets can contact Van Orden at x5-2706.
