Nominees sought for Anthony Award

The Anthony Center for Women's Leadership invites the University community to submit nominations of this year's Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award. Given each February at the annual legacy dinner, the award recognizes faculty, staff, trustees, and/or alumnae who "have achieved significant professional stature and influence; have a commendable, trailblazing body of work; and have used their experience and skills to help other women advance as leaders," says Nora Bredes, director of the Anthony Center.

Nominees should have a strong affiliation with the University and a "lifetime" of significant achievements. Nominations are due by Monday, December 8, and may be mailed to the Anthony Center for Women's Leadership, RC Box 270435, 4-145 Dewey Hall; faxed to 242-5810; or e-mailed to anthonycenter@mail.rochester.edu.

All nominations should include the nominee's name, her affiliation with the University, contact information for both submitter and nominee as well as a statement regarding the nominee's qualifications for the award, namely addressing the stated criteria. The nominee's curriculum vitae is not necessary, but if one is available, it may be attached.

The next Susan B. Anthony Legacy Dinner will be held on Thursday, February 5, in the May Room of Wilson Commons. Call Vicki Schultz, associate director for development at the Anthony Center, with any questions or concerns at x3-2127.
