February 15, 2 p.m. Through March 14--Fields and Falls: Images of Rochester. This exhibition includes images that depict Rochester's agricultural resources and waterways. February 15 through April 11--Augustus Saint-Gaudens: American Sculptor of the Guilded Age. This exhibition features iconic images of America's triumphs and tragedies by the master sculptor known as the "American Michelangelo." Included are 68 works in bronze, plaster, and marble. Through 2004--Protected for Eternity: The Coffins of Pa-debehu-Aset. This exhibition showcases the lavishly decorated inner coffin of an Egyptian official of the fourth century B.C.E. and other ancient artifacts. River Campus Through February 25--Tom Carpenter: This Happy. Rochester artist Tom Carpenter explores the relationship between beauty standards and the alteration of physical appearance to conform to those standards in his exhibition. Hartnett Gallery, Wilson Commons. Through February 27--Frozen in Time: Herman LeRoy Fairchild's Photographic Record of Rochester's Geologic Past. This class is designed for mothers and support persons who are preparing for a planned Cesarean birth as well as families who have been told that a Cesarean birth may be needed. The course covers reasons a Cesarean birth may be needed, Cesarean birth procedure, recovery, and postpartum needs. Fee: $20/couple. Registration required. 7 to 9 p.m. February 7--Breastfeeding. Expectant parents learn the basics of breastfeeding in this class taught by certified lactation consultants. Fee: $35/mom and support person. Registration required. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. February 7, 14--Infant Care and Safety: Classes One and Two. Expectant parents learn the basics of preparing the home and family for a new baby. Fee: $50/couple for three-week mini-series. Registration required. 7 to 9 p.m. February 14--Childbirth Refresher. This three-hour "express" class is for expectant parents who have attended childbirth classes within the past five years. The course reviews the labor and birth process, hospital stay, special situations such as Cesarean birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, and how to prepare brothers and sisters for the new arrival.
