Sign up now for NetIDs

With the new Human Resources Management System (HRMS) scheduled to go live July 6, faculty and staff will need to activate their NetIDs to access payroll statements and manage personal information. This single sign-on identification will allow employees to securely and easily access--both on and off campus--online data and applications.

The IDs can be activated by visiting www.rochester.edu/netid. To create a NetID, faculty and staff will need their employee ID number (located on a paycheck or payroll statement) along with the last four digits of an employee's Social Security number. They will also be asked to create a password.

To make them easier to remember, the NetIDs are based on an employee's name. However, since some names are very common, a special formula is used to ensure each NetID is unique.

Full- and part-time University employees will receive information on NetIDs included in their payroll statements. Employees also can visit www.rochester.edu/netid to view frequently asked questions regarding NetIDs.

For the latest updates on HRMS, including weekly status reports from Chuck Murphy, associate vice president and director of human resources, and a schedule of upcoming training sessions, visit www.rochester.edu/hrms.
