Michael J. Bierley was promoted to president/ CEO of Highland Community Development Corporation, The Highlands Living Center, and The Highlands at Brighton, where he oversees Strong Health's long-term-care facilities and new senior initiatives for Strong Health. Diane Cira was promoted to executive director of The Highlands at Pittsford. In her new role, Cira oversees the 135-unit senior living community, 60-unit enriched living program, and the construction and marketing of 36 new cottage homes under development on the community's 52-acre campus.

Marvell Adams was named administrator of The Highlands Living Center, a 122-bed skilled nursing facility located on The Highlands at Pittsford campus.

The Gallery Council of the Memorial Art Gallery has elected officers for the 2004­05 term: Teddy Carr, president; Roxanne Carr, first vice president; Wendy Shellman, second vice president; Sandy Koon, recording secretary; Paula Sherwood, corresponding secretary; Christina Howard, administrative treasurer; Margaret Kleinman, projects treasurer; and Mary Crowe, past president.

Donna Brink Fox, Eisenhart Professor of Music Education at the Eastman School of Music, has been appointed acting dean of academic affairs. Fox will serve as Eastman's chief academic officer while the search for a permanent academic dean takes place.
