CIVIL RIGHTS REVISITED--Producer Carvin Eison introduces his documentary July '64, an indepth look at the Rochester race riots, during a conference sponsored by the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies and cosponsored by the Department of History and the Department of Political Science. The September 23 screening was one of several programs included in the two-day event that examined the struggles for racial equality in the urban North that started a decade before the rise of the movement in the South.
