Chase Challenger
PHOTO FINISH--Employees Christina deVries, Laura Bloedorn, Karen Kryder, and Lucinda Rettke (left to right) represented the University at the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championship race October 2 in New York City and took ninth place as a team. Bloedorn, the female champion at the Rochester event, came in fourth place in the women's division with a time of 20:02 and was the first American woman to finish the race.

"It was certainly great being able to meet more than 100 teams from all over the world," says team captain Heather Van Orden. "Chase sponsors a great event to promote wellness in the workplace."

Bloedorn and deVries work as laboratory technicians at the Center for Human Genetics and Molecular Pediatric Disease, Kryder is a clinical laboratory specialist at Strong Memorial Hospital, and Rettke is a registered nurse who works in the Burn/Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Strong.
