Fundraiser to aid tsunami relief

The University community and the general public are invited to gather for an Interfaith Service of Remembrance and Hope at the Interfaith Chapel at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 3, for the thousands of victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Asia and east Africa on December 26.

Representatives from many religious denominations will speak at the service sponsored by the Interfaith Chapel and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering.

Following the service, a fundraising chili dinner will be served on the River Level of the chapel.

Tickets for the dinner are a minimum $6 a person. They can be purchased in Wilson Commons, either at the Hirst Lounge from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. January 31 to February 2 or at the Common Market, or by calling the chapel at x5-4321.
