Check out the new media site

The University Web site offers a new "multimedia library" featuring a collection of movie clips, music files, virtual tours, and other multimedia content. Visitors to the site can download music from the Eastman School and the University's a cappella ensembles, or choose from a new collection of desktop wallpaper featuring images from the University homepage. The multimedia library is online at www.rochester.edu/aboutus/multimedia.html.

Entrepreneurs spotlighted

High school and middle school students enrolled in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) at the University, a year-long program that teaches students how to become entrepreneurs, are taking the next step in launching their own businesses and social movements. Thursday, May 19, the students will display their products/services at the YEA! Trade Show from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Bridge Lounge in Wilson Commons. The student-run enterprises range from "Marshmallow Shooters" to custom made T-shirts, to jewelry, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

ID office posts summer hours

The Customer Service Center/ID Card Office is now open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Register for summer scholars

Middle and high school student looking for a summer adventure can register for Rochester Scholars, a program that offers hands-on classes with field trips, guest speakers, workshops, and lab sessions. Courses are taught by University faculty and graduate students and by local educators. Topics include medicine, law, communications, argument and debate, philosophy, psychology, photography, creative writing, and more.
