During the temporary arrangement, the Great Hall will offer computer stations for the circulation desk and the reference desk, and two computers for patrons. Users can return books, check out books, pay overdue fines, place materials on reserve, and access other services.
Renovations on the first floor will include a refinishing of the circulation desk, new carpeting and ceiling, new furniture and computers, and the addition of art work. The construction should be completed by the time classes begin in the fall.
One historical note: The library's circulation area was located in what is now the Great Hall's comfortable seating and studying space from 1930 to 1968.
