University agrees to settlement
fter several months of negotiations, the University (including Strong Memorial Hospital) and its affiliates--Highland Hospital, Visiting Nurse Service, Visiting Nurse Signature Care, the Highlands at Brighton, the Highlands at Pittsford, the Highlands Living Center, Highland Apothecary, Highland Foundation, and Highland Facilities Development Corporation--agreed to settle a lawsuit brought on behalf of hourly employees seeking pay for previously unclaimed time spent working during scheduled breaks or beyond
normally scheduled hours over the last seven years.
