Flu shot clinics open to employees, spouses

The Human Resources/Benefits Office, in partnership with the School of Nursing, is offering a flu vaccination program for University employees and their spouses. Flu shots will be provided at no cost for employees and their spouses enrolled in the University Health Care Plans.

Those who are not enrolled in the plans also are eligible to receive the flu shot. Most major insurances can be billed directly by the School of Nursing with no expense to the employee. An itemized statement will be available for insurance purposes if the flu shot charge of $30 cannot be billed directly.

Strong Memorial Hospital employees will continue to receive a flu shot with no out-of-pocket cost regardless of insurance. Employees should be prepared to present their University ID badge along with their health insurance ID card. Employees who do not have their University Id will be required to pay $30 in order to receive the flu shot. Times and dates for upcoming flu clinics are:

October 18, Flaum Atrium at the Medical Center, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

October 23, Laboratory for Laser Energetics, 1 to 4 p.m.

October 25, Eastman Dental Center, 8 to 10 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m.

October 30, Havens Lounge in Wilson Commons, 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

October 31, 30 Corporate Woods, 1 to 3 p.m.

October 31, Memorial Art Gallery 1 to 2 p.m.

November 1, Flaum Atrium at the Medical Center, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

November 3, Laboratory for Laser Energetics, 10 a.m. to noon

November 3, Havens Lounge in Wilson Commons, 1 to 3 p.m.
