Optical Show and Sale

The University Eye Institute is having a trunk show and sale on Friday, February 9, from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring refreshments, raffle prizes, and designer eyewear. In addition to the standard 30 percent discount on prescription eyewear, University employees, their immediate family members, and students will receive $10 off their purchase. Winter Break Fun
• Rochester Scholars is accepting registration for the February 19 to 23 winter break. The program offers noncredit classes for students in grades 6 to 12 in the sciences, social sciences, engineering, and humanities. Discounts are available for children and grandchildren of University faculty and staff. For details, call x5-2344.
• A soccer clinic will be offered from February 19 to 21 for boys and girls ages 7 to 12. Sessions will cover individual ball skills, team tactics, and position play. For details, contact Jared Micklos at jmicklos@sports.rochester.edu or x5-2185.
•The Fun Fitness Camp returns to the Medical Center Fitness and Wellness Center on February 19 to 23. The camp includes activities like swimming and ice skating for boys and girls ages 7 to 12. To learn more, call x5-2706.
• The Memorial Art Gallery is hosting a Winter Art Day School: Creativity Camp on February 19 to 23 for kids ages 7 to 13. Sign up by the day or all week. Call the Creative Workshop at 473-7720, ext. 3056.
Student Life Awards
The University community is invited to participate in nominating students for this year’s University Student Life Awards. Nominations are due by noon on Monday, February 12. Submit them online at www.rochester.edu/college/rccl/leadership/awards.
Yellowjacket Hockey Night
Join Rochester alumni, students, staff, and faculty as the Yellowjackets “swarm” Blue Cross Arena for a night of Rochester Americans hockey on Friday, February 9. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons.
