Goergen Award nominations due April 20
Nominations are being accepted through April 20 for the 2007 Goergen Awards. The honors are given annually during Convocation to individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to undergraduate education in the College. First presented in 1997, the awards are named for and sponsored by trustee and former board chairman Robert B. Goergen ’60 and his wife, Pamela.
“The Goergen Awards honor faculty and programs that have made extraordinary contributions to our undergraduate curriculum,” says Dean of the College Richard Feldman. “By recognizing these achievements in a visible and public way, they highlight the College’s commitment to undergraduate education.”
The awards are presented in the following three categories: distinguished achievement and artistry in undergraduate teaching, curricular achievement in undergraduate education, and distinguished contributions to undergraduate learning.
All nominations should be submitted to Dean of the College Richard Feldman, 317 Lattimore Hall. Direct questions to Myra Henry at x3-5001. For more details and a list of past recipients, visit www.rochester.edu/College/Goergen .
