SIMON RECEIVES NAMESAKE’S FLAG
COLLECTION
Members of the University Naval R.O.T.C. presided over
a ceremony on April 20 to mark the donation of the late William E.
Simon’s personal flag collection to the school that bears his name.
The four flags represent Simon’s government service, including his
term as U.S. Treasury Secretary during the Nixon and Ford Administrations.
The ceremony outside Gleason Hall was attended by Simon’s son, J.
Peter Simon, cochairman of William E. Simon & Sons and chair of the
Simon School Executive Advisory Committee, as well as President Seligman,
Simon School Dean Mark Zupan, and others.
