2008 mileage reimbursement rates
The University is adjusting its mileage reimbursement
rates effective January 1 to reflect new Internal Revenue Service rates.
The business mileage reimbursement rate will be 50.5 cents a mile
and standard mileage rate for moving expenses will be 19 cents a
mile.
February soccer clinic
Registration is open for the University’s
three-day soccer clinic during the school break, February 18 to 20. Held in
the Goergen Athletic Center from 9:30 a.m. to noon, the clinic is for girls
and boys ages 7 to 12 and costs $100, due in full with the application. For

Lifetime achievement award nominations
The Anthony Center for Women’s Leadership seeks
nominations for the Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominees
should have a strong affiliation with the University and a
“lifetime” of significant achievements. Submit nominee’s
name, contact information, and qualifications by December 21 to RC Box
270435, 4-145 Dewey Hall, by fax at 242-5810, or by e-mail to

Women’s club membership
The Univeristy Women’s Club is welcoming new
members. The organization, now in its 72nd year, is open to all faculty,
staff, students, and interested community members. For more details, call

Holiday social
All faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the
season during the annual River Campus Holiday Social on Tuesday, December
18, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the May Room of Wilson Commons. Shuttle
service from the Towne House, Goler, E. River Road, and the Laboratory for
Laser Energetics will be available. Shuttles will begin running at 2 p.m.
with initial pick-up at the Towne House (ITS area) and will run
continuously to and from the River Campus to all four locations until 5 p.m.
