Receive $100 for health assessment
Faculty and staff and their partners enrolled in a University health care plan will receive $100 for completing the free online Health Assessment, a confidential questionnaire for identifying health needs and encouraging healthier lifestyles. The $100 is for employees only, but if both spouses work for the University, each is eligible for $100. The bonus will be credited directly to paychecks beginning in May and is subject to taxes. Complete the assessment, which takes about 15 minutes, by April 15 and be entered into a raffle for an iPod and other prizes. Free biometric screenings continue
Faculty and staff and their partners enrolled in a University health care plan can receive free biometric screenings through April 2. The screenings measure weight, height, waist circumference, blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL and triglycerides and will help in answering questions on the Health Assessment described above. Biometric screenings are available at a variety of University locations. No appointment is necessary, but it is recommended that participants fast 9 to 12 hours before the screening. Preparing for a selective college education
Jonathan Burdick, dean of admissions and financial aid, will lead a one-hour workshop for parents of children seeking admission to a selective college on March 19 at 5 p.m. in the Medical Center’s Whipple Auditorium 2-6424. Deborah Aguglia from the Benefits Office and Dawn Bruner, director of parent relations, will also be available to answer questions. A second workshop is scheduled for April 29 at noon in auditorium 2-6408 K-207 in the Medical Center.
Applications Accepted for Graduate Head Residents
The Office of Residential Life seeks applicants for Graduate Head Residents, full-time graduate students who live in undergraduate residence halls, for the 2008-09 academic year. The position includes a furnished apartment and a $4,000 stipend. Applications for are due Friday, March 31. For more information and applications e-mail ghrselection@reslife.rochester.edu.
