Fitness camp for kids
The Medical Center Fitness and Wellness Center is offering a Fun Fitness Camp for children ages 7 to 12 from June 30 to August 22. The camp includes field trips, swimming, crafts, and a variety of sports-related activities. Registration can be for single days, multiple days, or the whole week. The Center for Entrepreneurship has launched consulting services for entrepreneurs, businesspeople, not-for-profit organizations, and companies. Professional mentoring, provided by the entrepreneur-in-residence with support from MBA students, is open to faculty, staff, students, and the greater Rochester community. Rochester Scholars gives students entering grades 9-12 a chance to experience college life while still in high school. The program offers one-, two- and three-week courses ranging from How to Write a Hollywood Screenplay to Sports Marketing. Students can live on campus or commute from home. In preparation for the end of the fiscal year on June 30, staff and faculty are reminded to submit any requests for payment, including travel and conference expenses, by June 13. All payment forms require the signature of the requestor’s immediate supervisor or the individual with FRS/ledger account responsibility. The River Campus ID Card Office is on a summer schedule now through Labor Day. The office is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on the weekends. PINK study volunteers needed
Prothrombotic Inflammatory Markers in Women with Metabolic Syndrome—Are you overweight? Do you have borderline elevated blood pressure, borderline elevated blood sugar levels, and borderline elevated cholesterol? Would you like to know more about your heart health? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may qualify to participate in a “PINK” study for women with these characteristics.
