Rochester undergraduates and area high school students took a trip east to tour the Fenner Wind Farm in the rolling hills south of Syracuse. The visit offered a close-up look at the towering turbines and farm operations. In August, the University announced that 100 percent of the electricity used in residential life buildings on the River Campus is now offset with wind energy. Read more.

A year-long process to address overcrowding at Strong Memorial Hospital came to a close earlier this month. The New York State Department of Health (DOH) approved a proposal to immediately add 83 beds to the hospital’s license.
